my factory garage door opener in my 2012 silverado how do I program it?

@auto used ...what? Feeney do you have an owners manual? It explains it in there. I know the impala was something like hold the button until it flashed then hit the program button on the garage door motor and it would set itself.

Autoused is slightly confused. Johns right. Usually you just hold the button down in your truck until it flashes (probably 5-7 seconds) then press the button on your garage door opener while still holding down the button in your truck. It should indicate by flashing or something that its programmed. But if it doesn't its obviously very easy to test if it programmed or not. And your owners manual will say exactly how to do it.

my truck my be different but it has 3 buttons, you push the outter 2 buttons till it beeps then the button you want to use as your opener push the signal button on your door opener then hold the button in the truck till the door closes. Best with 2 people

I looked it up and just did it myself, you hold the outter 2 buttons for about 2 seconds and let go. From there all 3 lights should be on and you have to run in and press the learn button, you only have 30 seconds from then to run back to the truck and hold the button you want to use for the garage door. The lights will flash and you'll know it worked. Your garage door may also go up or down.
