Battery/ alternator failure

Asked by WiTsEnd2012 Sep 11, 2020 at 12:15 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Chevy Equinox. I May have
several issues. Car will start fine sometimes.
After started and running, the battery light
comes on, check charging system advice
shows on dash. Then everything can go black
on dashboard. May come back on then all
other system check advices comes on. Then
car may die and not start again without a
jump. We have had the car at the dealership
replacing starter, two cables, one computer
module, spending well over 1000 in labor and
parts. Dealership even found a fuse blowing
because of an oxygen sensor wire cut and
touching something else. Every time we go to
pick up the car, the dealership says everything
is good now. But by the time we get home,
everything starts over again. We are at our
wits end. Any answers?

I don't think those are very good cars to begin with , add a ton of technology and a mechanic that likes to make commissions that's what you get . But I'm just a jerk what do I know ?
