2012 Equinox jerking

Asked by mom2jr May 25, 2019 at 07:59 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox 2LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car seems to jerk when I am coming to a stop.
It rocks back and forth and seems like it wants to
die but hasn’t yet. The check engine light then
came on. I was told that 4 codes said “multiple
misfire detected” and two said “camshaft position
timing”

I have a 2016 Chevy equinox and it does the same thing. I’m driving I put on the brakes it jerks and acts like it wants to cut off, but it doesn’t really stop on me. I did notice this happens only when it’s time for me to get an oil change and then it stops once I change the oil. I have no problem after until it’s time for another oil change. Never actually to my service person this was happening. I didn’t need the extra cost.

Has anyone figured out the issue? Mine does the same 2012 chevy equinox. Chekc engine light just came on. The jerking occurs when car is on idle at a stop light. Notice it does this when time is approaching for an oil change

My 2012 Equinox just started doing the same thing last week. No check engine light is on. Anyone find out the issues?

Mine does the same thing intermittently. I recently had an oil change and got a faulty oil filter seal causing all my oil to leak out. While RACING back to the station it did it EVERY time I came to a stop.

okay so I have changed both of the sensors and the cam shift sensor as well and it seem to still be doing it. anyone know what else it can be
