Car alarm going off.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys, so I recently purchased a 2003 Dodge Dakota
quad cab 4.7L V8 sport. I always hit the lock button on
the key fob whenever I’m done using my truck, and
whenever I hit the unlock button on the key fob (which by
the way is separate from the key) it sets off my alarm and
it panics and beeps for a total of 3 times, and I cannot
stop the alarm no matter what button I hit. I don’t even
open the doors, as soon as I hit the unlock button it
activates, even if I hit the lock button again before I hit the
unlock button. And the wierd thing is it only does it after I
lock it and do not use the control for a couple of hours in
between. I already replaced the battery on the fob and still
nothing. Sorry for the long post but felt I would get a more
accurate result. Please help, I’m not the most popular guy
in my apartment complex when my alarm goes off at 3
A.M. every morning when I leave for work.
