Clunking noise and sputter

Asked by Guru1RLZG Sep 22, 2019 at 11:23 PM about the 2003 Dodge Caravan Sport FWD

It makes a clunking noise stopping and starting out..took it
to a transmission shop and he said not transmission
problem..  He said replace alternator..doesnt sound like
thats right..
