Not unless it is on a trailer. Ford says no towing except for short distances in an emergency.

No. Only on a trailer. Page 235.. cut and pasted from manual: 2WD and 4WD vehicles: Do not tow your vehicle with any wheels on the ground, as vehicle or transmission damage may occur. It is recommended to tow your vehicle with all four (4) wheels off the ground such as when using a car-hauling trailer. Otherwise, no recreational towing is permitted.

The only other way I would consider it would be to use a two wheel hauler and tow it backwards with the rear wheels on the trailer. I tow my old T-Bird that way.

Did you get a lot of swing out of it when you tow it like that

Okay that sounds good so mines of 2012 so what I still need to tie down the steering wheel because it locks in place

No need to tie it off. When you put it park, it locks the wheels. Just be sure the wheels are straight. Now, my caveat, I have not tried to tow any "new" cars this way, just some 50's and 60's that I have had. I would suggest you get an opinion from a couple of RV dealers and see if they agree.

Look into a brake assist for the Expedition because that is a lot of weight to tow and you will need all the help you can get when stopping.

Your welcome, thank you. If you feel it was helpful, I would appreciate it if you would mark it so.

You can tow the 2000 Expedition AWD in neutral, with motor running. Its no different than coasting down a long mountain road. This according to the Ford dealer in Cedar City, Utah. Most people just don't want to burn the extra fuel.
