trans in limp mode

When sitting still engine running put it in gear and it shows 20 MPH on speedometer

The car is in limp mode not the tranny, Something is telling the computer that there is something not right and it is protecting the car. I would take it to a local auto parts store like Auto Zone and have the car read for any faults..

Just needing with you. It was the catalytic converter. Replaced that car smokes the front tires now EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS AS LUMO MODE """Bad Catalytic Converter"""". So happy it wasn't transmission I splurged in eBay for the $198.00 bolt on muffler shop put on for 100.00 flat. Muffler Man Leesburg fl of hwy 27. I know this will help you if you are in limp mode or think you are and exhaust Ed all your options. Trick, remove the 02 sensor, drive a few blocks the car runs worse it's definitely your cat
