I'm trying to replace the struts on my 2004 Ford Explorer, and cannot remove the bolt that holds the strut to the lower control arm.  The bolt has a anti-rotation flag on it that I think is prohibiting me.  Does anyone have any suggestions how to remove this?

if you mean the pin that slides through the nut you need to sraighten it w dikes and pull it out of the nut, then it should come off no problem

No, it doesn't have a pin. There appears to be a flange that is part of the nut. Whenever you turn the bolt the flange gets caught on the lower control arm, and doesn't move. I'll put force on it, and it kicks back.

You have to turn the bolt, not the nut because of the anto-rotation flag attached to it. Ford also states a new bolt should be used during reassembly.
