Is it a bogus car offer?

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

When you consider to sell your used car to
cargurus,  price seems competitive and
promising. Until the car delivery moment, the
process seems flawless. They communicate you
and send you documents as well as organize
zoom chat with an agent. After that they give
you a three day window when a driver come to
pick the car. On the first appointment,  they
gave a time window  on Friday 1-3pm. The
driver did not show up. When I called them why
the driver did not come, they do not know why
and they do not have any direct contact with the
company doing the car transportation. What
they tell you is simply to reschedule. Since I did
not have any choice I did another appointment
for Monday 9-11am. No one contacted me on
this day too. The driver did not come. When I
called to cargurus, they give me the same
response: they do not know and asked me to
reschedule. Their system is very poor and
disorganized. The customer service agents are
not cooperative and informed. You could literally
wait forever until a driver come to take your car.
I do not want other consumers stuck like me. I
advise you avoid cargurus for selling your used
cat.

Cargurus is an advertising site only. Similar to Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc. Cargurus doesn't buy or sell anything. So consider yourself lucky that the vehicle was not picked up! Others have been scammed out of their vehicles! Jim

I'm sure Cargurus is linked to a third party company that offers to buy your vehicle. Consider yourself lucky.
