2004 Dodge Neon SXT jerks when it accelerates.

Asked by GuruTH1B6 Jul 02, 2018 at 01:22 PM about the 2004 Dodge Neon SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently I had a timing issue fixed on the car, after the repair it ran fine. A few
weeks later the car sounded like the engine was revving when I cranked it and
jerked when I pressed the gas pedal. It jerks so bad that I can not get up to a
good speed and eventually had to park it and come back to get it towed. Could
it be the timing again, or something easier to fix?

Could be a bad throttle position sensor. Check for codes.
