2004 Durango AWD wont move in any gear?

I was driving and there was bang noise and then no power to the wheels. It wont move in any gear, just revs up. I checked the fluid it was full. but transfer case fluid is very dark. Would this be the transfer case or tranny?

i have a 2004 Dodge Durango and i parked it and went to put it in reverse and it wouldnt move so i put it back in park and it made a grinding noise?
