Bad starter?

2012 ram sport 5.7 hemi. Truck acts like the
starter is bad, turn key over and all I get is a single
click. Try it several times and still nothing, tried
tapping starter nothing , jumper cables nothing,
voltages all read normal battery is new good
connections.

Try voltage drop test and make sure battery cables are good, and not giving excessive resistance. You can also test the starter relay, and field test the starter solenoid.
