2012 Ram 1500 Hemi cold start issues?

Asked by fireproof69 Apr 12, 2021 at 09:23 PM about the 2012 RAM 1500 SLT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

120K miles, Hemi, Crew Cab SLT 4x4: Started very randomly for the last year;
now for the last few months nearly every cold start. It either cranks w/no start,
or Start/Die 1-3 times... then starts and runs fine until it sits for several hours.

There is absolutely no running issues after it does start. No rough idle, no lag
or dogging at full accelerations, etc. But it doesn't matter if its 30* or 80*, after
it sits all day at work, or overnight... it is going to have the same delayed
starting issue 9 times out of 10 starts.

Recently have replaced all spark plugs, PCV, AIT, MAP, cleaned throttle body,
and cleaned K&N air filter. The plugs improved the running performance, but
nothing has changed with the starting. No Check Engine or any warning lights
at all either. I do not have factory remote start.
