I have a 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD 5.7L..cuts out when I accelerate..any ideas why?

I noticed this morning while driving that when I got up to around 60-70 mph that the
truck started cutting out...I tried to accelerate to see if that would remedy the
problem..but it didnt, but when I slowed down it did. I also noticed that there was a sort
of grinding (for lack of better words) noise. I just had my roters turned and oil changed
about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I dont really trust the place that did my roters but
they had put new brakes on back in February and didnt turn them. (Yeah, I know what
your thinking). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me? Im hoping its
nothing expensive ...Im just a poor college student!! Thanks for any anwers..

sorry- you already know the answers and you just need a nudge. Your engine is not running properly;you hear a grinding noise; you do not trust the shop you used. nudge-nudge.

Try adding a fuel injector cleaner to a full tank of gas and see if that will help and have your battery load tested and check if the alternator is giving out over 14 volts like it should do. The grinding noise could be that the dust plate is touching the rotor then you need to bend back away from the rotor or it could be a wheel bearing. You can jack up the truck and grab the wheel with both hands, one under neath and one on top and rock it in and out ( while you push it in on top you pull it out on the bottom ) If you feel a play you nee new wheel bearing. Check both sides.
