first off, what engine does it have? 3.7, 4.7, or 5.7 HEMI? If the truck set a check engine code for the power steering, then the problem is probably in the power steering pressure sensor. This sensor is located on the power steering line between the pump and the steering box. As for the hesitation, many people do not know that many Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge products require regular tune ups every 30,000 miles. Your Durango is one of those vehicles. It is possible that the previous owner did not replace the spark plugs and air filter at 30,000 miles. even if he did, it is due for the next tuneup now... I suspect that a set of spark plugs, and air filter and a fuel filter will take care of that hesitation.
