2012 Dodge Ram 1500 security locked

Asked by Tntjo101 Jul 24, 2020 at 06:48 PM about the 2012 RAM 1500 Sport Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Parked and locked the truck as normal last
night went out this morning and key fob
wouldn’t work so I unlocked the truck with the
key  it set off the alarm and security locked
the electronics of the truck .
I’ve tried pulling the battery cable to reset with
no change . I’ve tried to leave the key in the
ignition with no change  is there another way
to unlock the security system to get this
started ?

So after tearing the system apart checking all systems found out the Tpms control box was the culprit . Why this is able to completely security lock the truck I was never told but replaced the control box under the driver front fender and was able to get it unlocked . I’m a huge fan of my truck but that is a severe flaw in design
