What might cause the oil light to flash and ding 4 or 5 times while driving?

the oil is full and i recently put on a new battery

Oil checked as soon as light started flickering and filter changed with recent oil changed.

Check the oil sending unit sensor. Located on the back of the motor on passenger side next to the distributor. What year is the vehicle, what type of oil (Pennzoil) has a tendency to sludge up, when was the oil filter last changed, how many miles.

I have the same issue when accelerating heavily...had the overheating problem fixed - thought it was causing it ...but still the oil light goes on if I accelerate it hard from 0 ... 2005 durango 5.7 v8

How is the solution? Oil and filter new, new oil bulb pressure, new anti freezer..........but we have the problem, some people say that is a catalytic converter.....is possible? Thanks
