i am looking to purchase a used car in this area. I am comparing prices to those for a
Dodge Avenger in New York. they will finance good bad or no credit, Do you? I have some
money to put down and would have payments made directly from the bank. I am retired
and have social security as a monthly income.

HI, yes you can get a car. Typically you are looking for BHPH (buy here pay here) from a BHPH dealer. These is a special market of dealer and you could look here or more specifically on http://buyherepayhere.autotrader.com. Unless your credit is better than it sounds like you are describing this is likely your best option. If you credit is good, then the SSI income won't effect anything you can still get car.
