My brakes work fine around town and on local hwys under speeds of 50mph. But on speeds over 50 it feels like an uneveness that makes it hard to stop.

Rotors are most likely warped due to heat caused by hard braking. The rotors maybe machined even again or may have to be replaced depending on how thick they are. Cause is usually city driving where braking too hard or fast by driver & lack of air flow driving in stop & go driving.
