2012 Honda Civic throws all codes

Asked by Guru2169G Feb 28, 2020 at 11:53 PM about the 2012 Honda Civic EX w/ Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2012 Honda Civic will turn over fine but not
start. I turn the key back to the off position
then try to start again and it will start right up.
Once it starts it throws emissions, traction
control, abs along with a few other codes and
the power steering stops working. Once I put
the car in gear it revs really high. I turn the car
back off and restart. The car on the restart
runs fine. This has only happened twice but
makes me worried it might leave my girlfriend
stranded. Any help would be appreciated.

My 2015 is similar and I can't figure out why it does this. The first time I try to start the car up sometimes, it just squeels like it's starting but can't quite do it. My whole car shakes when it is trying to start, I just noticed this last week. you can see the headrests shake/shudder it's that bad. Sometimes I have to press start 3 or 4 times before it starts though, it's so embarrassing every time it does it. Is your car still doing it?
