I can't tell when my lights are on? No indicater. Also they don't auto on with windshield wiper?

My 2012 Explorer has no indication of lights being on or off. I can't find any information
on this?  Also most lights go on with turning on windshield wipers. Mine don't. I just want
to know how to tel, if they are on without stopping to look.
