oil in spark plug chamber

Asked by GuruZF6SY Jul 29, 2018 at 09:28 AM about the 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 06 Altima 2.5 has oil in the number 1 chamber and has a miss, plug wasn't fouled out but a lot of oil I had to put paper towels down in there to soak up oil I also just had the oil changed at a dealer ship on Thursday and was told I had a slight  valve cover leak but wasn't bad

valve cover gasket needs replacing. The oil in the hole will degrade the coil boot over time

The 2006 Altima I own does not have replacable oil seals around the spark plug tubes, I had to replace the complete valve cover. That solved the probem of my miss.
