Can you clean the AC switch?

Asked by MaryJinAL Jul 01, 2018 at 06:19 PM about the 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After sitting for not quite six months I've got my
Impreza running again. Now my AC switch is
acting glitchy - if I turn it off at a drive-thru and then
punch it back on, sometimes it won't come on (and
won't blow at all, either). If I cycle it a few times I
get a crackle and eventually get it back. The
obvious solution is to just leave it On and that's
working. I'm wondering if there's a way to access
the switches and maybe spray some switch
cleaner in there?
