Can a 2011 Jeep Liberty transmission work in a 2012 Jeep Liberty?

I would think the numbers and all electrical should match , replacing an old worn tranny with an old worn tranny may not be a good idea , have the original rebuilt or trade it in for something else .

The number on the transmissions must match, if they don’t they won’t work. Jeep transmissions are horrible, if possible get the stock one rebuilt with all the upgrades possible. Might cost a bit more but you shouldn’t have any more transmission problems. Had that done on my old GC at 80000 when the transmission went on it.
