Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Rain water is getting into my car somehow. I don't notice water anywhere in the car except a 4 inch. wet spot where my right foot heel goes. I can hear what sounds like a lot of water sloshing under the floor. I initially thought it was in my car door but am assuming its under the floor because of the wet spot. I pulled the carpet up and it's soaking wet under there. Any ideas on how the water is getting in??

I'm also trying to find out what is under the floor on the drivers side. A lot of other ppl experience this on the passenger side bc water is getting into the battery well.

I'm not sure. I don't have a driveway so it's not easily noticeable. I'm pretty sure it's rain getting under the floor somehow as it only happens when it rains. the water will stay for days or weeks after a rain, but will eventually dry out or get out somehow - not sure but the sloshing sound goes away and wet spot dries up a week or so after a rain.
