Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a certified used 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 from a
Jeep dealership in December of 2015 with 75K miles. I know have 123K.

I've gone back and forth on whether to change the fluids on the
transmission, transfer case, and differentials. As it's a sealed system (no
dip), I'm wary of having to do a flush at this point as I've heard various
opinions about doing so. MOST have said that being I haven't done
anything since owning the Jeep, there aren't any leaks and I'm not having
any issues, to do nothing. Actually doing so at this point might cause more
harm than good.

I just wanted to to get some more opinions and further feedback from other
Jeep (Cherokee) owners from their experience. Thanks!

If you are talking about a transmission flush, DO NOT DO IT! That will shorten the life of the trany. You only would want to drop the trany pan and change the filter, then add new fluid to fill it up. If there is a plug to pull on the transfer case, thats fine to change also. A coolant flush, no complaints, always does it good. Front and rear differentials are ok to change the fluid in also.

Thanks for the replies fellas, but this is a closed system so in order to change the trans fluid, it needs to be forced into the system with a pump machine. There's no dip to measure. This is my point...

Well tennis shoes, your answer is contrary to most other mechanics... So you think the benefit of a forced fluid treatment out ways the potential damaging of internal components of the transmission system at this point?
