2000 cherokee. Electric door locks and remote don't work. Any idea how to diagnose and fix?

Just bought a used cherokee.  Power door locks and remote do not work. Any
suggestions on how to figure out and fix?

Jeeps around that year had problems with the wiring between the door and the left panel if you look inside that black wire protector you should be able to find a big black wire which is your ground most of the time that is broken.good luck

Hold the remote in lock or unlock, and smack the passenger door lock switch with your fist...not too hard, just jolt it until it works. Mine messes up every month or so..
