Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My mechanic said I need to change my engine harness. What is it? Is it a set of wires and plugs
that come as a kit? Or can I simply change a few broken parts of it? Is do-it-yourself possible?

As for do it yourself, that depends on how much experience/knowledge you have on automotive electric

Thanks David. So it's a single plug/connector with 6-8 wires yes? I've seen this photo before as I was trying to find out how much it will cost. Do you know the name or product code or item # somewhere (eBay or Amazon)?
