Interior light above mirror don't come on when door opened

Question type: General

The 2 interior lights above mirror work when buttons pressed. But do not come
on when car door is opened making it hard to see ignition at night. Is there a
setting to allow them to come on?

A 2012 Mini Cooper's lights above the mirror do not come on when opening the doors. This is how this year was designed. So that's the way it is.
