Question type: Car Customization

Feels like it is running out of fuel, but pressure is within spec at idle. Fault codes are only
the ones I expect such as 02 sensors ( I only use two) EG R removed and. Blocked. The
thing starts in open loop and goes into closed loop when up to temp. Injectors have been
ultrasonic cleaned, break light switch replaced with new. Four wheel drive removed,
being used as 2 wheel drive. Block huger headers installed with 02 sensor bung at
collector.

what engine did you have stock? you can't expect a computer from a 4.7 to be able to correctly feed a hemi without being modified.

This transplant is in a 1956 f100. The ecm is the one from the Durango that the engine and trans came from. What can cause the ecm to go into a power limiting mode? I have checked the oil pressure and the sender.

your original post led one to believe you had swapped the hemi into a Durango. sounds like a fuel delivery issue. is your fuel pump rated at least as high as the original pump in the Durango?

I am using the Durango pump and the Durango wire harness. The only things that are diff. from Durango are: no abs sys. No EGR , only 2 o2 sensor, block higher headers. Cold air intake, trans converted to 2 wheel drive. The Durango instrument cluster is used although out of sight. Note: When unit is warm the fuel sys goes into closed loop as it should.
