sounds like the emergency brake shoes have come apart. Remove the rear disc brake caliper and rotor im sure you will probably see that the backing has separated from the lining of the emergency brake shoes

This might sound dumb, but check to see that you are not in 4 wheel drive. The drivetrain will bind around turns, on a dry road.

That doesn't sound dumb. Matter of fact its good thinking. Both of you guys have good ideas. But dthomas is it the same wheel everytime..or one or another depending on which way you turn? Even on an easy turn or to the stops?

Has the oil on the rear diff been changed is so was the limited slip ad added to the oil or an LS oil put in there ? If not your LS in the rear diff could be damaged. Also check if you have enough oil in there.

Dodge doesn't list a limited slip differential for your vehicle, that year. It's either stuck in 4wd, or the differential "side" and/or "spider" gears are damaged.

I am now experiencing this in my 2013 Durango. Everytime i turn the back tires tend to lock up and drag. Anyone find out what the problem is?

I am working on a 05 Durango that has these symptoms on tight turns and the limited slip is the cause as the harder you turn the wheel hop or sliding gets worse. I believe the oil is contaminated or low and the clutch plates are sticking causing the wheel to try and stay in sync.
