Kill Switch and truck will not start

Asked by Shannon Oct 18, 2022 at 10:21 PM about the 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just purchased a 2005 Dodge Dakota and it won't start, turn
over, or do anything. No sounds or lights on it at all. It has a
kill switch i believe. It ran this weekend. I'm not sure what to
do.

There are a thousand reasons why an engine won't start. Start by looking at the battery; it might be dead. If the battery is OK, find a mechanic who can actually see the car/truck to diagnose the problem; you might have triggered the security system.

Talk to the previous owner about that kill switch. God only knows what it's hooked up to! Jim
