my 1999 528i check engine light is on and it says its torque converter clutch circut

Transmission........... Your torque converter doesn't lock now. It happened to me before. the problem is that it doesn't ha to be a bad converter, it could be something in the transmission, so it has to be disassembled and rebuilt. and those ZF transmissions are pricey.
