Engine Performance issue?

Question type: General

When i drive my Land rover LR2 for long distance
or the engine run for long time, the performance of
the engine start lagging and becoming unstable like
there is some issue with the fuel or there is a
misfire, sometimes the engine stops but it i let it
switched off for a few minutes (10-15min) and start
it again it works fine. Please help me in the issue
