2002 jetta 1.8T wont start

Asked by Jesus Mar 13, 2016 at 01:50 AM about the 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 1.8T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 jetta 1.8t wont start. I dont get a crank and engine
does not turn. Put a new battery in. Checked all fuses
including the ones on the engine, all fuses are good. Turn
the key foward and car does nothing. Need some help...

I Have a 2002 vw beetle and mine did this. Took it to the shop it was a censor showing my car was in drive and thats why it wouldn't start

Or try the imbolizer in the dash is there a blinking key symbol on your Dome lights because if there is that's should be your problem then or a bad ground from chassis to the battery under your battery box
