The air inlet door was stuck in the recirculate position. The actuator lost track of its position and apparently locked itself out. It started working after reinstallation, for how long, don't know yet...possibly will need a new recirculation door actuator.

Does anybody know why a 2012 dodge journey is just fogging the windows ip

If it is really cold outside and you have snow or ice on the windshield it can take a long time to clear the inside even if everything is working properly. Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe off the moisture and the system will get the rest.
