My heat was just working fine the day before my car overheated so i am thinking it is the thermostat that went out on my car there for i don't think it has anything to do with the heating sensor on ...

i have a 2010 chrysler 300 touring with 85000 miles. when the engine is cold , i started and the engine always pings for a few seconds. what could be the problem? 1 Answer
I took it to the dealer and they told me that the block and heads were aluminum and that aluminum shrinks when it's cold and expands when it's hot (or vise versa) , so it would ping for a few second...
