2006 Dodge Durango SLT stalls when wipers are turned on!

Asked by mijsenrab Mar 20, 2015 at 12:51 PM about the 2006 Dodge Durango SLT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car stalls when wipers are turned on. Shut off wipers and it starts up and runs fine. Dealers and mechanics have looked at it and have no solution to offer. Obviously it only happens during rain or snow when you need the wipers. Anyone have a solution

I would search online for the cost of another wiper control switch and replace it. It is some how sending a ground short to your ignition. I would do this before you find yourself with ignition problems from this reoccurring.

Mine had a hair line crack in the plastic housing. I put Silicon on it and so far works great. Need to remove from to do it.
