Dodge Caravan 2006 Why Would applying the brake pedal disable the instrument cluster? Also why would only the heads up brake light work when the brakes are applied?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi

On the weekend the instrument cluster would go off and on suddenly.  No Speed, No
tach, no gas nothing.  Then it would come back on while idling, but go off the minute
the brakes were applied.  As well there are no turn or emergency signals functioning.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi I manage to resolve this issue the other day. As it turns out the Fuse for the hazard lamp also controls the the instrument cluster and brake lights. Once I replaced this fuse everything started to work as they should. Hope this helps for someone in the future
