Can i fix this leather oil stain?

Asked by Joe May 30, 2020 at 05:40 PM about the 2012 Audi A6 3.0T quattro Premium Plus Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi. Just recently bought a used 2012 A6. The
leather on the passenger seat is not good. Looks
like someone tried to scrape what seams to be a oil
stain. Is there anyways to fix this and at least take
away the stains without further damage or would i
need new leather.

I think you can try to clean it first. Search online on the best way to start by removing the oil.

I hate to think what that stain really is. Dyeing the leather is probably the only way to fix it.

Take it to an automotive upholstery shop for answers. It may need to be replaced.
