Where do I add the transmission fluid after servicing the transmission?

I want to self perform a transmission fluid change,
flush, filter in my car. But where would I add the clean
fluid at??

What does the tranny fluid look/smell like , it should be nice and pink and not a burnt smell . Are you going to do the work ? Newer cars don't have a dip stick and there may be a certain procedure to properly fill it to the correct level . If you're not having a problem perhaps you should leave it alone . It's been said that a complete fluid flush is not necessarily a good thing .

There are lots of videos online that show you how to do all this, and they're really descriptive. All the ports for checking, draining, and filling the trans are on the transmission casing. It's really simple..... Depending on how many miles are on the car and how long the current fluid has been in there, you might not want to do anything. Servicing a trans for the first time with a hundred-fifty-thousand miles on it can cause internal problems; mainly seal leaks. And remember, you're not servicing the torque converter which holds the bulk of the fluid. So frequent changes can be quite effective for transmission health.

There should be two plugs on the transmission, a drain plug and fill plug. You will need a pump. Check out some Utube videos to see what your up against.

If you drain it out have a magnet for pulling any metal out of the old fluid , the more there is the more wear on the unit
