2007 ram check engine light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I removed dashboard & installed new AC
evaporator reinstalled dash check engine
light stays on, how can I turn light off.
It is a 2007 Dodge Ram ( not a 2011 )

Did you charge the ac system? most likely a code or codes in the PCM the trucks computer, use a code reader most discount auto stores don't charge for this, next write all codes down while your doing this then erase them, if they don't want to "clear" the codes for you, drive it home and remove the negative battery cable..kinda of a hack method ..but without a scanner or code reader it works.
