why wont my srx 2012 cadillac start

could it be the remote if I  press the brake and all light turn on but there is no click or noise and the vechicle doesn't start?

It sounds like your lights turn on but the starter won't engage? You mention the remote but have you tried the key? I would check the battery connections to see if they are clean and if the battery is low.
