How connected are the alternator an power steering motor?

Asked by Chandra Mar 23, 2019 at 02:30 PM about the 2012 Ford Fusion S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would like to know if a bad alternator can mess with the
power steering motor? Could it cause the steering to
become really tight? No power steering reservoir either. I
appreciate any responses. Thank you.
