Timing and water pump

I want to buy this 2001 Audi A6. but i 'm heistant because the vehicle will not start. The guy told me it was running when he parked it in his garage. He changed the water pump and tried to adjust the timing. Now it won't start. I'm worried about a blown HG. Need help!!

He may have the timming off, which if it is and he tried starting it, may have damaged the motor. I would keep looking and pass on this one unless your looking for a project car and wanting to spend more money to get it running.

Find another car, you would be much better off with a Subaru, Toyota or Honda.
