My car battery is dead will this cause the headlights and alarm to go off when you hook up battery charger

Copy and paste the following address. The site explains how to reset the security system. It's apparently common when a battery goes dead. You may want to charge the battery with the cables disconnected then reset the alarm. Hope this helps...https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-reset-a-security-system
