wont start after cleaning motor

it should start now that it has been 4 hours you got a wiring conection wet and is shorting out just needs to dry.

Right- if it is still not starting, you can try taking off the distributor cap and cleaning it out with a dry rag-

Like what was already said let it dry out .. In the future we used to spray WD-40 on spark plug wires to keep moisture out ..

jamnblues is right there is probably water in the dist and the cap will need to be remover. here is a trick for next tiem. dont shut off the car wen washing the engine and stay away from the dist. when watering it down.
