on aSubaru Impresa is the alternator removed to repair the head gaskets and/or water pump

2 months after my Subaru was in for repairs for head gasket and water pump the battery
cable to the alternator was loose and corroded dealership denied that they loosened or
forgot to tighten cable to the alternator are they lying?

Yes, your alternator would have likely been removed. I don't know (m)any mechanics who would tolerate working around the alternator to replace a head gasket, but I guess there could be some out there...
