Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check Engine Soon light goes on and off, and flashes.  Codes read random misfires and
idle speed too slow or fast.  At Battery light now goes on and off as well.  Added
symptoms lights grow dimmer and brighter before Bat lite went on, and also RPM gauge
showed fluctuation after it did, but engine seemed smooth. Alt. checked out as charging,
For engine light, codes cleared, got new cat converter, even found disconnected vacuum
hose in back of manifold.  Light goes off by itself, too.  Restarting usually does same for
Bat light. Bought car used w/ 17K on NYE 2001. Driven it over 150 miles and it's been
dependable. Gets me there, even with these problems. Suggestion?
