Oil pump

Asked by tinalb Feb 22, 2016 at 03:12 PM about the 2000 Chrysler Sebring JX Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was running fine then came a light
ticking noise. After about two weeks it got
louder and shut off. Had oil in it so could it
be the oil pump and how hard is it to
replace?

Should take it to a shop, have the oil pressure verified with a mechanical gauge. Replacing the oil pump is a big job.
